And throw all caution to the wind.

If Just to see your smiling face

And fall into your warm embrace.

If Just to clasp your gentle hands

And tell my fears not to expand

And wish upon a star or two

That you were with me or I with you.





If Just to kiss your tender lips

And feel your hands upon my hips.

If just to look into your eyes

And know you’d never tell me lies.

If Just to be within your arms

And know you’d keep me from all harms

And shut the troubled world away

Knowing in your arms I could always stay.





If Just the distance weren’t so far

And I could be right where you are.

If Just to wish, a star or two

That you were with me or I with you.
