we will free the monkey

in this poem that i will pretend

that you don't do mean things

like ignoring me, when you say

you really do miss me

i guess that is petty of me

to even mention it

i wanted another ubu night

at the lp pub & brew

but a night on the hot sara porch

will be fine, if you are there

i want a forever moment with you

even if we are never going to be

forever

pick at plants at sundown

at darkness, throw me some heat

when the night is like my favorite beer

give me a kiss and point out the stars

show me the love

bleu cheese

and sweet dream me to tears

make me never want to leave

hug me tight and give me the tenderness

of your kiss that is like new york asters

as i sip pleasure from your lips

like a draft of the bone beer
