Prose Poem (My mother's bible)

My mother almost always carries her bible with her. If I come into her room to ask her a question, she’s either working, or reading her bible. If we go on a trip, I see her reading her bible. If that woman has any free time, I’m certain that she will be reading her bible. She studies it, enjoys it and lives from it. My mother was born a christian and still, to this day, she’s a christian. My grandmother is also a christian as well as my great grandmother once was. I guess it’s a family thing. I could easily say that without a doubt, she is a woman devoted to god. I could call her a religious woman because she thinks more of herself as a servant of God. My mother lives her life not by a religious doctrine, but rather by faith. My mom being a christian and all, made it a family rule to go every Sunday to church. As a child, I remember her saying that we had to honor the day of the lord by going to church. My father didn’t argue with this since he is also a christian. My whole family is Christian. I’m also a Christian, but unlike my mom, I don’t carry my bible with me since I don’t have a bible. I lost mine years ago. However, my mother always taught us how to live a good life, with principles, ethics and a Christian foundation of course. She has always had the best intentions for me and my family. She has always had her bible with her. Even when me and my two brothers were little boys, she would always be carrying around her bible. It can be said that reading is her passion. A hobbie. She has become so familiar with the scriptures that she can even remember whole passages and cite proverbs. It’s something truly remarkable. Something I respect. Being honest, I’ve never seen a woman so passionate about something in her entire life. I could even say that her family, her relationship with God and her bible are the three most precious things in her life. My mother has lived a Christian life, one that she is proud of. She is proud of what she has accomplished with what the bible taught her, and how she manages to live her life according to the bible. Of course, not a soul in this planet is perfect. Having said that, my mother makes mistakes sometimes, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to achieve a spirituality that is far greater than any materialistic attribute that this world can offer. But anyways, that's my mother’s opinion. She is an excellent person and a great woman. A christian woman that always has her bible with her.
