Pathway of Love: Labyrinth

This muddled routine,

Seems so simple,

Designed to trap us,

Where am I?

Noise from afar,

A figure outlined,

Breathing slower,

I stare.

Sneak closer,

Take a peek,

Radiant,

Slight smile,

reflect it

elevated.

I'm a fool,

Why do I follow?

You're lost too,

aren't you?

I tremble,

Stumble,

Uncertain,

Am I in danger?

Smile again,

it's returned,

Maybe we'll get out

together.

Closer now,

Slowly our hands

clasp

And there's light.

Your smile,

intoxicating,

laugh,

blissful.

We glow,

We see,

And venture

Forth.

Side glances,

Slight smirks,

Solitary no more,

Simply us.

There, the end,

The opening,

never believed,

it existed.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Done as part of a project to Ha Jin's Waiting.  This is designed to exemplify the nature of falling in love with someone whom you may be uncertain about if they would feel the same way.  This also is meant to be more along the lines of coming out of feeling lonely or simply that something is missing in the routine of daily life.  The gradual process of getting into a relationship.  This is shown in Waiting by the way Manna and Lin enter their relationship, this being Lin's first feeling of excitement in regards to falling for someone.
