The Longest Poem

You and I,
Not so different,
Broken hearts,
That suffer.

Feeling like toys,
Individuals,
holding no remorse,
Their actions,
Our sorrows.

Hesitant to begin,
Vines wrapping slowly,
The sun comes and goes,
Our days aren't set.

Grown and torn down,
From moment to moment,
Caged in our lives,
Parameters of existence,
wish i could free You.

Through to history,
Protection,
from vulnerability,
And I'm reminded,
Love takes time.

Willing to wait,
Willing to let it go,
Flourish and become--
something grandeur.

We're not angels,
So far from perfection,
but I wanna build,
a World for Us.

If you'll let me,
If you'll allow,
Spill my heart for you,
And I'll take a dive,
when you'll let me,
Sacrifice for you.

What could be,
What can be,
And all we ask,
Is to love each other.

And this is the beginning,
The whole thing that could be,
Everything in my life could mold,
To be with you the center point;

And it's what I feel,
That I really want,
That it could be,
Forever.

I'll wait each day,
For you to come,
And be where I can,
When you wait.

Tell me if I make you nervous,
And if I'm making you feel overwhelmed,
If I'm saying too much too soon,
Or not enough now and then.

Because this is a seed,
This is the beginning of it all,
And we can wrap around together,
Growing up towards the sunlight,
'til we hit the sunny high.

The moments to dream about,
The moments we can make,
Memories that are,
Memories to be;

I just wanna be,
with my arms around you,
with you by my side,
with our dreams together.

And this is the beginning,
Breathing, living entity,
A relationship, fragility within,
And it could be forever.

Just let it grow,
And it could be the story,
of Our lives;
and it'll be forever.
