Raging Calm
Back and forth she rocks,
Door closed and locked,
A slow flicker of the neon lights,
Heavy beat of music in the night,
Broken heart pictures scattered on the walls,
Eye’s filled with tear to her knee’s she falls,
Kicking and screaming she asks why,
Every night she continues to cry,
No one to hold her in a sweet embrace,
No one to wipe the tears from her face,
Afraid to speak of the feelings she hides,
To reveal the pain inside,
A raging fire burns within,
Pushing her to never give in,
Though a broken heart shatters her life,
She strives to make the love right,
Even against winds so strong,
Everything will calm before long,
