I have been watching you night after night

trapped in the darkness and not seeing the light

I have been watching you drown in your tears

and trying to kill the pain by drinking beers

I have been watching you die inside a little more each day

and you can't hear me when I tell you it will be okay

I have been watching you cut yourself to cope

because you don't think that there is any more hope
