I try to capture the words of this song

the praise I've wanted to give him for so long

but every time I tried the words would fade

what could I possibly do to thank him for the price he paid

I try to explain what worship feels like to me

and how you lose yourself in him when you truly believe

I want to bow down before my king

I want him to become my everything

for he is my Lord, my one and only Savior

my best friend who's love I want to savor

forever and ever I will praise him

the holy one with nails in his skin



there's no more room for earthly desires in my soul

now what I hunger for is Jesus to make me whole

he is the breath that fills up my lungs to keep me alive

he is the strength I have within me to help me survive

and if I could have one moment in his presence at his feet

if I could just touch one time the hands that bleed

I have been searching for the words to say

for so long I' have been searching for the praise

to give my Lord for I know that he is worthy

and may we praise his name for he has set us free
