Old Ancient Feelings

I remember you and your sweet voice,
The way you laughed, and your lively spirit,
Oh, how can I forget you?

You made me feel in ways I've never felt,
The way your smile reflected the stars at night,
Oh, you made my heart melt.

All those nights we would talk
Til the sun rose,
Oh, how you made me weak.

I thought the world of you,
I would roam the seven sea's,
Just to feel your touch.

There was nobody else
Who could make me
Feel so loved and free.

Well, that was then,
You turned sour and let me drown
In the rivers of black.

My life was over
I had died
And didn't want to come back to life.

I fell to deep,
It was a waste
And nothing but unspoken words, and a blinded heart.

But that was then,
Now that I've moved on,
You want to be in my world again.

When there is no one else,
You failed yourself,
Because I'll never fall again
Back into the internal grips of hell
I wish you well,
And now this day has come
I found closure, and now
Must you be gone with the wind.

Why is it when it's too late,
You bring up these old ancient feelings?
