I’ve seen a thousand childhoods
And still I have not grown
My youthful stage has not departed
The earth’s a playground I’ve sown
And within this eon I’ve seen love come and go
My years have not depleted

But I sit here and ponder
If time has passed me by

A spirit that cannot die?
I long for that fountain
That fountain my joy
