Sir Galahad

I used to claim a knight in shining armour

A man that scared my dragons all away

and now within these walls of my castle

I'm usurped by another lady fair.

Shattered is my mirror

the fairest in the land

never again will i lay

helpless to any man!

Fie on these laws of love

Fie on hearts of gold!

chivalry and honesty

are of an age now old!

Or could it just be that its me?

I pity the heart that is broken

A heart that once was mine

Presented as more than a token

Forsaken before it's time

old letters and dreams discarded

reminders to be burnt

a cleansing of the being

resiliant and cannot be touched

i steel myself

with walls anew

a faithless creature now

i've replaced that feeling organ

with a crystal ball of ice

sees the farce so clearly thru

the love that scatters round

but melancholy sucks it dry

to relsiliance defy...

it's harder to replace

a smile of warmth with plastic

Since it wasnt invented back then...

my Galahad is lost to me...

I've proved to be no match

for that holy grail you hold so dear...
