This path is getting narrow but we wait for the arrow to show us the way.

I wait for the sign to show that you are mine but we know,



It won’t work

It’s not fair

That I can’t

Live aware

Of our love

It’s confusing

We try hard

But we’re losing



We try to go fast and forget about the past so we can be together.

We can’t keep on living a life without giving our all and I know,



These stairs

Are too high

I fear them

Deep inside

I won’t climb

One more stair

Even if you

Are right there



I can’t face reality that’s right in front of me.

I can’t take the pain inside that we both try to hide.

It’s just not right.



Nothing compares to us you say and I figure life will be ok. But now you’ve shown the path ahead. The stairs are too high above my head. I can’t take another step.



We want

To live life

Like a bird

Put in flight

We run fast

To get away

From our lies

But they still stay



I can’t face reality that’s right in front of me.

I can’t take the pain inside that we both try to hide.

It’s just not right.



It’s over

We gave it our all

Turned over

We took our own fall

I think of

What could have been

Wishing that

The stairs would start again

But it’s over.
