Things happen in our lives that we have no control over.

We don't get a raise, or maybe our true love finds another.

Everyday I see these things, and it bothers me to no end,

so then I have to ask how do I...oh how do I forgive?



How do I forgive those who sin against me?

Lord how do you do it so easily?

How do you love even those who hate you?

Please tell me God because I haven't got a clue...

how you forgive me too.



These things happen, but still I go back for more.

Lord, how many more times before I close the door?

How many times must I be hurt and try one again to live?

Oh God how do I forgive?!!



I see, and I know these things that I should do.

With all of my heart all I want to do is follow you,

but Lord I'm not fit to kiss the bottom of your shoes.

Even still, you love me despite my shortcomings,

but a year and a half later, the pain still stings...

You know already when I'll do wrong.

Why then, do you let me carry on?

Sometimes I wish you'd strike me dead.

Does that make me wrong in the head?

I'd try my hardest, but I just feel doomed.

How is it, way back then, that you saw my pain too?
