We've known each other all our lives,
but there's no way we could see
the destinies laid before us
only for you and me.
No matter how long it's been,
no matter how far away.
I'll always be there for you
in every kind of way
because you had the courage
to show me the light that day.
We have been there for each other
in these days of our lives,
and I know there's only one other
that I'll walk with in hard times.
His name is Jesus,
and it was you who brought me to him.
I hope he looks down and sees us,
and knows that we're more than friends.
You were the light for me that day
in the dark room called life,
and you saw through the outer shell of me.
He spoke through you that day
when I invited him in my life
because you were more than a friend to me...
Now I sit here writing this letter
wanting to glorify his name,
and knowing that I'm better
for following his way...
