Come Home ~Inspired by Jerry Browder and Jesus Christ~

Every single day I look for you

to see what you will do.

Even though I already know

which way you will go.

I sit here, writing life's poem

waiting for you to come home.

I love you, and cherish you in every way.

Won't you walk with me today?

Look at the sunrise I've shown

lighting the way through the unknown,

and praying that you'll come home.

I sit here crying, spilling my tears,

wondering how long, how many years

until you are with me, never again to be alone

when you have made the journey home.

My love for you will last all eternity,

but now it is, that you should answer my yearning.

I bled for you, and died on that tree alone,

so that I could light your way home.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I believe that Jesus did die for us on the cross, on the hill of Cavalry.  He died for, and because of my sins, and yours too, but he did so, so that he could light our dark path to heaven.
