I was lost when I came to you

I wondered if there was anything I could do

to make my life good again.



I couldn't see beyond the mirror,

and I was such a terror

as I lived in all of my sin



Then I used what faith I had left in a prayer,

and this is what you said to me...



Give it all away...

Give it up, and come back to me.

Give it all away...

come back to my side and see

that I'll always love you.

Give it all away...to me.



I was lost in all of my feelings

of hatred, pity, and self loathing

that I just wouldn't hear you.



I felt like I was left there

to hang out, and dry without a care.

Oh, how did I miss you?



Then I tried one last time you see...

with the faith of a mustard seed...

and you said...

Give it up, and come back to me.

Sitting alone, wanting die

all I'd have to do is cut one line,

but there you were in my mind

grabbing ahold of me this time.

You lifted me up, and carried me along.

Once again you made me strong,

so here I am yet today!

I just thought I'd stop and say...thank you...



and Im giving it all away...

I gave it up, and now I'm back with you.
