Left To Die
I was just wondering the truth behind why,
You left my heart to die...
Though I guess it was good you weren't there,
To look me in the eyes and say you didn't care.
I cried myself to sleep,
You hurt me pretty deep.
I missed you for days,
And to forget you there are no such ways.
I missed you for weeks,
And still the tears fell upon my cheeks.
You finally returned to me,
But things didn't return to how they used to be.
You still didn't want what we once had.
It must be something I did to make you this mad.
When we became one again,
Things slowly went back to how they'd been,
But this month lasted not like the first ten,
And was scratched out like a name in pen.
Now ten months have past by,
And even still sometimes I cry.
For when you again walked out of my life,
With seemingly little strife.
Leaving only "we've drifted apart" as a reason why.
You again left me and my broken heart to die...
