I stand Alone

There is only the individual,

an illusion of civility,

we smile at each other,

but deep down we are enemies,

because our goals conflict,

our desires do not mix,

Relationships are built on fear,

I won't be party to that possibility

of loss, I choose to be my own individual

and forswear that poison you called love,

I stand alone on my own two feet,

my heart is cold because I know the truth,

all I care about is my own happiness,

You must do what is necessary to succeed,

others will only stand in your way and rip you

to shreds,

We live in a jungle,

all of us just animals,

wanting our own territory,

We will wage war and fight,

because it is necessary,

only the individual is reality,

People are a threat,

wild animals I do not know,

I will  not let them destroy what

I have worked so hard to build

I will not let them disregard my existence

for their own, but rather I will make them know

that I lived and that I was not going to submit to their civility
