I was feeling sleepy late last night

So I drifted out into the white

I found myself in a dark hallway

The walls were bare, but painted gray

I looked ahead to see a door

And slowly walked across the floor

As I crept closer the door was glowing

Through it's cracks, bright light was showing

A dream, I thought, as I stepped through

The air was fresh and the sky was blue

A flowery meadow rested under my feet

And the sun gave off a comforting heat

A river was flowing through the wonderful glade

And the trees provided an excellent shade

The smell of flowers had  filled the air

And a calmness was found everywhere

A wall of roses was a lovely sight

In the heat of the warm sunlight

"Heaven", I thought as I basked in the rays

I could stay here for days and days

I looked out and saw the distant horizon

The beauty of it all was almost hypnotizing

Then something happened, that I found quite strange

The sky went through a drastic change

The sun was sinking and the night was near

It lightly rained like falling tears

There were stars flashing with a variety of hues

It was like they didn't know which color to choose

And then the stars that were shining so bright

Fell like bombs of burning light

Each one came down with tremendous force

As one by one they dropped off course

Fire engulfed the beautiful plain

And strangely enough it put out the rain

A dark force had taken over this place

And when I looked up I saw a dark face

Gleaming red eyes hung in the sky

I just wanted to crumble and die

I heard a loud booming laugh that shook the ground

And everywhere I looked flames were all around

I started to sob as I viscously screamed

This was not what it had seemed

I don't know why or when I fell

But it seems that this heaven turned into a hell
