Loss Of Faith

I waited for an hour by the lake

I don't know how much more I can take

You left me waiting once before

You left me pounding on the door

And now it seems you have done it again

I waited for an hour or two

I didn't know what else to do

You left me weeping on a bench

You left me with my teeth, now cleched

And now it seems you have done it again

I waited til my patience wore thin

I tried not to let the evil win

You left me ignorant and confused

You left me like I had been used

And now it seems you have done it again

I waited til I lost my faith

I knew it was you I hate

You left me for the very last time

You left me to go drink your wine

And now it seems you have done it again

You're not real...

Author's Notes/Comments:

Don't let me deceive you. This is a poem about my loss of faith with religion and God or whatever you want to call him. It's all metaphorical.
