The rabbit and the snake

Once upon a time there was a snake that lived in Sodom village. It had a fame of being wicked and vicious. It was so ambitious that he wanted everything . One day the snake saw a white rabbit. The little creature was like the air, swaying and floating till touching the sky. Day and night the snake would watch the white rabbit, wishing and dreaming to possess what it had, until one day the snake decided that it was enough, it had to make it his own. “Hello Mr. Rabbit, what a fine day it is! I saw you jumping and jumping all night long so please tell how because I wish to know now”, “Hello Mr. Snake, why would you want to learn how? You prey and hunt all day around! Why should you have something that isn´t your own?”, “I wished to swim and I ate a fish, I wished to fly so I ate a kite, now I want what you have so come on give me what I want.”, “Greedy and needy, you can have it if you want, but only if you can catch me before dawn.” “Once and for all I would make it my own.” So the hunt began. The snake was fast, but faster was the rabbit. Time passed and the snake started to get weak because of the hunger. “Oh! Hello there, I didn´t see you back there., I´m sorry but I´m thirsty and hungry and I wish to fest so now I will give this chase a rest.” So the snake began to eat what it was behind of it. The snake was so tired that didn’t notice that was eating itself, starting by his tale and ending up just with the head, after a few seconds the snake died. After this event a lot of animals started to act just like the snake, ending up in the same conditions. A few decades later the world was alone...it was the end, all of the animals were dead.

The point of the fable is to teach us the result of being an ambitious person (snake), the more material things you want, the more you are going to suffer. It is impossible to have everything in the world, so it is better to start enjoying the few or the lot of things you have instead of wishing someone else´s things (rabbit).
