heaven
pushed back to where i started
how could i not feel downhearted?
Amazing how this life has past
'cause once it starts, it goes so fast
living once is not enough
Although it is very tough
you lie in your bed and try to sleep
b ut the thoughts in your head are oh-so deep.
thoughts about living and your life all-in-all
And why your friends diddnt bother to call.
you wake the next morning and your in a new place
you search and you look through every new face
you look and you look, put together the clues youve been given
you stop and you realize you must be in heaven.
Amongst all the angels and heavenly beings
you hear a bell and grow a great pair of wings.
astonished, you look around and everyones smiling
you think you must've got here in just perfect timing
you turn as you think and who do you see,
but the Lord, the master of you and of me.
he says, " well done, my wonderful child.
you believed in me and you were holy and mild.
just this one thing i must say to you
my child be happy! dont be sad or blue."
With these words i smiled and i heard him say
"My child welcome to heaven today!"
