Today I stepped closer to my goal

To learn

Expand the limits of my mind

To enrich my soul



Fame and fortune

Every man's dream

But sometimes things are not

Exactly what they seem



As I get older

I seem to find the things

I longed for as a boy

Just are not the same



Now I'm a man

And I see things clear

I have found the strength

To conquer my fears



So now I look back

At the length of my life

And see things that haunt me

And things I would not do twice
