Distrust

She stands behind him in wonder,

If he even knows if she exists,

Wait to see if he notices her blonder,

Instead of anger, he omits.



Her relief is great, but still troubled,

She feels him slip away from her mood,

16 years old, but not wanting to be replaced,

Even though he is doing good.



She confronts and tries to lure him back,

To no prevail did she get any ground,

The days grew as short as the color black,

So many months just spinning around.



Then a day came when his deed had a problem,

He confided into his daughter about humanity in his past,

She felt good, and relieved to here his problem,

For she knew why he did as he did at last.
