Quite rapidly

I remembered
Someone from the year before
Someone who opened my eyes
To opportunity
Gave me a new way to look at life
Yet, now
He makes me cringe
Even at the sound of his name
Because he dropped me so fast
Then I go back to the summer
I was never happier
Now I want to hurt him
Because he hurt my feelings
One day
I'll find someone
Who won't do that to me
