The Rain

Pour down into my heart and soul,

Wash away my fears, make me whole;

Oh rain, I long for you earnestly,

The drops of comfort you shed on me.

In moments when I feel so low,

Your gentle touch begins to show;

I lift my eyes to darkened skies,

And know you’re there in silent cries.

Rain, stay with me, don’t drift away,

Or come back softly another day;

For when the rainbow starts to shine,

I find a peace that feels like mine.

Author's Notes/Comments:
