ALWAYS THERE

Growing moon struggles,
To spread its light, fighting clouds,
My breath challenges death.

Often by the lake,
I ripple love's memories,
Nothing for death to drown!

You still shine brightly,
Warding off all the darkness,
Of your sun's sadness.

You are always there,
For me...like you once promised,
Who can efface you?,

I throw cigar butts,
And wonder at the poor moon,
Your translucence glows...

Can I forget you?
O The Lady of My Heart!
Can I? Ever? Ever?
