AN ADVICE TO MY BELOVED

What is it that makes you sad,
Tell me, is it really that bad?
Don't hide your tears from me, please,
Won't you have me as your ache's release?
Don't sit like that, it breaks my heart,
Your sorrow is mine, so let it part,
Away from you -- in your sweetness' room,
There should be no space for despair and gloom.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a poem I wrote in 1975. Found it in one of my old college diaries. Posted it here to share with all poets and poetesses. Smiles.
