MY PARADISE

Cool night wave,
Of a love-filled breeze,
Takes me to a world of yore.
Hereafter,
Is an unseen realm,
My paradise -- my time with her.
A soft song:
"Aa, So Ja, So Ja",*
Lull my restlessness to sleep.
Sweet Donna*,
Honest, frank and forthright,
Yet as caressing as silk.
We share all,
That life offers us,
Joys, music, melancholia.
"Aa So Ja",
A la Audrey Hepburn*,
I abandon the world and move,
In peace-world,
Where Earth's denizens,
Dare not think of intruding.
I am gone,
As her voice takes me,
Into God's spiritual world.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Donna is my sweetest friend...as I have mentioned in my previous poems posted here. She has a voice that is a replica of Audrey Hepburn's...believe it or not.
*Aa So Ja" is a lullaby sung in Urdu/Hindi by the legendary Kundan Lal Saigal and then by Lata Mangeshkar of India. Translated into English, the words mean: Come..Sleep Now.
