LIFE AND LOVE

Loved ones love to break their loved one's hearts

Flowers are trampled without a thought

Graveyards watch in silence -- distraught.

Sky maintains its peace with broken parts.

This day to day living is slow suicide

Especially for the one who's alone

Lost in questions on carnal and spiritual

Forgetting, even Mary and her son, ate and drank.

To argue with those who think they know all

Is a waste of time, energy et' al

Even Jesus didn't claim he was God

The way the misguided describe him.

Defying the winds of barren deserts

Only the strongest shrubs and plants survive

Flowers in unheeded gardens are women

Who think they are more knowledgeable than God.

Let them all go to a refugee camp in Niger

And try surviving without food and water...

Wisdom and insight is not gained in semi-nude gowns

And attracting ogling eyes of wile men on a beach.

Love is beyond the comprehension of such females

And its wisdom is for them is lipstick and skin creams.

Perhaps Christ comes in the dream of this man-hater

And makes one maiden learn a lesson of true love....

Author's Notes/Comments:

Written and posted on December 9, 2010. This poem is about a wise woman who who "wants to be the bride of Christ the son of the Virgin Mary and the Messiah"; even though she loves him because according to her:"He was devoid of carnal desires. Wow! How some women can become paradoxical after years of a onely life.
