AN EVENING AT A NIGHT CLUB

The dancer

swivels around me

In an attempt to seduce

I sip water

and look with disdain

at her ways of enticement

Then my love

and her lovely thoughts

provide me the shield I need

The dancer sways

and does her best moves

But my beloved wards her off

I love her:

my beloved woman

And no dancer can woo me.
