SOME TIME SPENT WITH MY MOST MERCIFUL GOD
O my most loving God Allah
I am ever grateful to Thee
For blessing me
With a caring mother
And children three.
O my most loving God Allah
Extremely in debt am I
In comparison to the favours
Conferred on me by Thee:
Blessing me with the best friend
A man can have in this selfish world
Yes, I thank thee O my loving God
For giving me a friend like Shazi*.
O my most and loving Allah
I shed tears of thankfulness when
I think of your latest mercy
Bestowed on a rainy day by Thee
In the form of a loving soul
Whose name will I keep a mystery
From all others who do know me
Satisfied deep inside am I
That only You sent her to me
So let her remain a mystery...
O my loving God Allah
You have given me all I sought
In prayer with a sincere heart
Kept me unbeaten in my trade
And let none ever vanquish me
For all these long years did Thee
Kept me as I wished to be
The champion of prose and poetry.
O my loving God Allah
I pray yet once more most humbly
To be generous with Your mercy
And grant her me who truly loves me
Not just in heart, mind and soul
But fully and totally, eternally.
You O my most merciful loving God
Please always be with me
And not for a moment forsake me
Make my mother's life a happy one
And bless her with a long long life to come
And health and fulfilment wholesome.
And even to my children three
Grant the best of what the best can be
And make them live successful lives
Carefree may they always be
And enjoy their joys independently.
O my most merciful God
Your mercy has no end or depth
Nor does your love and care for us
So one more time do I bessech thee
To be even more merciful and lovingly kind
And forgive us whatever our sins might be.
And with Your most forgiving love
Save me and my loved ones from perdition
And the hell of damnation
For this attribute is Your great mercy
Loving grace, pardon and bounty.
This prayer O my most merciful God
Is for me and my family
And the who truly loves me
And a friend whose nickname is Shazi.
And before I beg my leave of Thee
This too I pray for O my Lord God
Let not Your enemies walk freely
Spreading evil and bigotry
Slandering the Prophet and His family.
O my most kind and loving God
Sin can vanish only when sinners
Are wiped out from this lovely earth.
So it has been told in Your holy books
How Your angels descend with wrath from Thee
So be it so again my Lord God
Destroy all those who hate and ridicule
Muhammad*, Your Messenger of mercy.
