TRIBUTE TO MY MOTHER

Mother, O my dear mother:

In your loving arms, my infancy played,

Mother, O my dear mother:

Patting and singing, lullabies did you,

Gently hush me to sleep.

Spent your whole nights, wide awake,

Rocking my cradle softly.

Mother, O my dear mother:

In my heart, the longing for you,

Takes me back to my childhood.

Your love, O mother, is beyond compare,

There is nobody else like you.

Mother, O my dear mother.

May God bless you for all you have done,

For me and my brother and sisters.

Forever may your presence be with us,

For as long as we live here.

Your prayers, O mother, have enriched my life,

The sky and the stars bear witness.

Mother, O my dear mother...
