War He turned around to say I love you and goodbye,
“ I’ll be alright I promise that just please I beg don’t cry”.
He bends down to say goodbye and she kisses him on the cheek,
He promised he’d be strong but instead he felt so weak.
He starts to walk away and he hears a little voice,
He ignores it keeps walking then later regrets his choice.
Daddy please don’t leave I need you and love you so,
He acts like he didn’t hear it and as if he didn’t know.
He soon gets to where he supposed to be and receives a picture an innocent note,
Daddy look at me and look at what I wrote.
He reads the note and has to wipe a tear away from his eye,
He asks himself why he could do nothing but cry.
The days pass slowly and the years creep on by,
He sees his daughter and his wife hugs them and begins to cry.
