I Won’t Bend My Head

Folder:
Folder-2002

I tried to hide behind my protective shield

believing evil would mostly yield

Fights must be fought.

Battles cannot be sold,

For justice to be sought

For the story to be told

In a disturbed civilization, inhibited and old

In a troubled world, controlled and mold

Alone I stand in a society deficient in vision has driven a culture mad

For the egos that’s been hurt.

For the insight that was right

For the innocent dreams were close to achieve threatening the insecure one

Sentenced to be penalized for aspiring far above my grounds

With bitterness and lies they sprinkle water on the flames of hope

To be immobilized by taking away all the means to be with no apology

Scandals around divert the uphill struggles,

steeling every great effort

For all the brave men frightened to stand

For the claimed best friends scattered around

For all the answers to be found

For all the lessons to be learned

For generation to come

Politics instead is played and honesty is shuffled aside

Supporting the unethical ones to drive us toward immoral end

Lots of souls are troubled, lives are shattered

Brains are washed, hearts are continued to be broken

Tears will never be dried

Truth behind the lies will never be told

Priceless sacrifices on hand

For the change to come about

To awaken the collapsed mind in jealousy and hatred

To uncover the screen on the concealed hearts

Miracles happen with an initiative of a dream

Truth is a key for every closed door

Never been opened before

No matter how long it takes

No matter how long I wait

Pity I don’t accept

When injustice is made

In my weakness lays my strength

In a will, a voice and a pen

Scared they have to be

For my fears there is no trace

Powerless to traumatize me to surrender

With this gift from the above

Knowledge is my power

Faith is all I got

It makes no difference how I am

I will fight till the end

Tall I will stand my head won’t be bent

How can I bend my head for whom I gave my slaves?

Materialism, egotism and this life’s dirt

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this long time ago in dedication to any leadership that lost the sight of justice.
When ever unjustness persist, forever it will be resisted.
