Losing our wings

Brand new life,

a pure mind,

a baby in its crip

grows cold at night,

departs its winds,

covers his entire body,

toddler and infant stage he plays,

his wings make him elevate,

dancing and playing to nursery rhymes,

as he wish to rest,

his wings covered his little body,

wings reached his knees,

now he is a kid,

potty trained,

watching cartoons on TV,

his mind expands,

begin to learn the basis of life,

he desires to rest,

begins to acknowledge the wings,

he lays on his bed,

wings cover only his chest,

teenage stage,

aware of the ten commandments and the meaning of sin,

aware of the positive and negative actions,

aware of the evil mans voice,

know about the night life,

gets home around 4 am everyday,

he sleeps

wings barely reaching his neck,

the final stage before his forever resting place,

now knows the meaning of life,

about confession,

prayer, wishes, second chances,

as his fatigue body tends to give up,

his bed he wants to lay upon,

his body shivers,

it grows cold,

nothing of the feather like blankets to cover him anymore,

he grasp a blanket

with salted water out of his eyes,

to cover his soul,

he sleeps yet his mind is awake,

he knows about religion,

yet he cant never reach where once he came from
