“The bear and the squirrel”

Once upon a time, in a hot summer day, there was a bear that slept with so much joy under a tree in the forest, this was very common on him, his life was just sleep and then get food to survive. In the forest it was very common to find squirrels, they normally were running everywhere, from tree to tree, but there was a special mischievous squirrel that was always bothering others.
One day, while the bear was sleeping, the mischievous squirrel decided to play on top of his body, when the bear noticed this, he immediately captured the squirrel. The squirrel fearing the bear said “please do not kill me! I’m sorry I was bothering you, forgive me please”, after this request, there was a big silence because the bear didn’t answer anything, he was just thinking on eating the squirrel, when the squirrel noticed that he was not changing his mind, he added “ I will pay you back when the time comes, I promise”. The bear just laughed at the little squirrel and let him go.
After a few days from that day, some hunters trapped the bear, and he ended up tied with a rope into a tree. After hearing the loud suffering noises from the bear, the squirrel saw him and didn’t doubt that he was going to help him. Immediately the squirrel started biting the rope with his little teeth until he finally cut the rope completely. The bear looked at the squirrel and thanked him for the favor. The squirrel was tired and very exhausted; cutting a rope was a lot of work for him. After taking a big break he told the bear “when we first met, you laughed at me thinking that a small and insignificant animal like me could never give you back the favor right?” the bear didn’t know what to answer and he just remain silent. The squirrel added “I hope that now on, you don’t underestimate small animals, because we are able to accomplish what we promise no matter how hard the work is”.
These words made the bear reflect of his actions and now he was the one who was sorry for it, he was ashamed. The bear told him “now I realize that I should not despite little animals for their physical appearance, they will always keep his word, I’m really sorry”.
