If I said the world would end tomorrow
Would you believe me?
If I told you I had the answer
Would you ask away?
If I fell for you
Would you help me to my feet?
If I were hanging off a cliffside
Would you turn around to hear my screams?
Or would you do the same as the next person
And turn to walk away?

If you said the world would end tomorrow
I would say that the light doesn't go out until you turn it off.
If you told me you had the answer
I'd ask for the truth.
If you fell for me
I'd let you down gently.
If you were hanging off a cliffside
I would be the one next to you
