ODDS! she crow'd and threw down her card

   then gazed out yon window across the courtyard

In a shaft of moonlight stood her prize,

   a Pegasus, pure white with violet eyes
Feathery wings, the rarest of things,

   whisper'd its secret, waft up trellis'd wall
   "Whoere ride the wild beast controls them all!"
