Through the tears you make me smile,

In the darkness, a glimmer of hope,

Across the distance, I feel you close to me,

And you'll never even know,

That you're everything I live for,

You're part of me; heart and soul,

You make me laugh, and I not knowing why,

I love you, and you make me whole,

Parting the shadows, you bring me a beacon of light,

Giving me a reason to believe in life,

If I thought I was over you, I'm proven wrong,

I do it all for you, never demanding a price,

You're never exactly brimming with joy,

But that's how you make me feel,

I love without even knowing how,

Always trusting beyond a doubd that this is real,

At times I'm angry beyond words with you,

But that feeling never lasts,

Even through the anger my love for you shines,

And I put those storm clouds in the past,

I'd travel a million miles for you,

You wouldn't even have to ask,

Swim a river of "it will never be's",

Perform and carry out the greatest task,

I'm sure this love will never die,

But I'll hold it deep inside,

These words are all I have to express how I feel,

And they wash away with the tide.
