Finale Poem

I sit and think what it would be like

To be next to you again.
I can feel my body twirling
Lifted from its seat
Levitated in a spiral
A ballerina's pirrouet
A skater's spiral
Arms lifted in joy
Undulating in the vortex
    of you.

I wonder
What your next victim feels

Now.

I lay and think what it would be like
to have you prone beside me.
No rest or peace for you,
A quivering repose,
Arrow taut to go

I couldn't keep you.
Will she?

Colors

Colors of the mind

Fill the painted panel's edge,

With reds in copious amount.

Strands of turquoise

Like the sea

Spin and twirl up to it ledge.

The perimeter of paint

Spilling into the world

Knowing no boundary

And the colors of the heart.

Colors of the heart

Light his face

With smiles of dappled sunlight

And the greens of the sheltering trees.

The yellow dancing hues

In his thoughts of her

Careening in joyous motion

Around and around

Busting through the blue boundaries

In the colors of the mind.

Dreamland

Slightly anticipating the tiny clock in her head,

She rolled over and followed the dream back to its world.
Random players, spoke random wisdom
In the nerve ending warmth of the down comforter.
Melt flesh to the fibers of the mattress till it jars you to wake,
Hitting bottom of the float in a grinding stop
of daylight.
