I am bad with words many times so I write

poetry to help solve my plight

when a friend such as you is in pain

I feel a bit of it, some minor strain.

I don't know how to make things right

I don't know because I didn't see the fight

I only know the things I can say

to try to make you field better this day.

A friend is defined in many ways

but I shall only name two today

someone with whom you're acquainted,

someone you know well and regard with affection and trust,

now these are good definitions of a friend

but I believe there's more in the end.

to me a friend has many tasks

and on these jobs, they are never lax

Forever holding you close when your sad

Reliable, dependable, they make you feel glad

In an effort to help you along your life's path

Every step they walk with you, 

Never showing you wrath

Dutiful all the way to the end

that is what makes a good friend.

You my friend are a lot more to me

your a member of my pack, part of my family.

not many are given such a place in my group

for it is a very special place in the loop

I'm asocial you see, rather quite shy

so to be in my pack means I want you nearby.

I am sad that you sufferred such a pain

and that it has caused you such a great strain.

You deserve better, my friend and Captain.

But unfortunatly though, I would lift a sword by your side

there is no sword sharp enough to bring back hurt pride

you are my captain, my friend, my family

and I want you to know I care deeply.

I am sorry you've been hurt, I would take it if I could

I can only write this poem for you, and hope it makes you feel good.
