Through the sky
Through your mouth

And bleed envy
Trickery, mockery
Death please pardon me

Capes billowing
Black fire in the wind
Cooling my sin

Devouring each other
Souls of a feather
Flocking together

I reasoned with dark
The reaper in my sleep
Smelling the stench
Oh, how it reaked

He talked of love
Shadows smoldered
He talked of war
My cards then folded

A magician spoke once
Of time traveling hearts
Centuries of relief
No one grew apart

He said I am the girl
Who burns through the world
Leaves men forgotten
Vile and rotten

Mercy me
Fearing for life
Spewing hopeless pleas

Wrapped in vapor
Trails of smoke
Cold lips choked

Through whispered sighs
Through lullabies
I heard your name
