My grandmother’s crossword puzzles

Letter and letters filling little squares in order to try to form words. Crosswords puzzles can be a great way to keep your brain working. I do not know if my grandmother knows this, I just know she loves crossword puzzles. Anyone who knows her have probably noticed her love for them. You can always find a little book with lots of crosswords puzzles at her bedroom laying in her bed. She is really good at crosswords puzzles, I guess that if you do something so often you eventually become good at it, most things work that way. Solving crossword puzzles is not as simple as you might think it is, or at least not for me, I guess I do not know that many words. When I was little and lived in Mazatlan, where my family is from, I wanted to solve crossword puzzles too. When you are a kid you always try to imitate what grown-ups do, so I asked my parents to buy me my own crossword puzzle book. I was able to solve a book of crossword puzzle that was for kids but when I wanted to solve the ones my grandmother do, I did not succeed. I do not know when my grandmother started making crossword puzzles, it seems like forever. I have never asked her, I don’t really talk a lot with her. She is a strong woman, she always seems so active. I barely remember when my grandfather died, I was like 6 years old. One does not realize what death means when you are that young, I did not cry. I would have love to know my grandfather better, they always talk about him, the jokes he invented, the things he did. It seems like my grandfather and my grandmother had opposite personalities, but loved each other immensely. I do not actually remember much about his death, and the year after, my parents, siblings and I moved to Tijuana. I should ask my grandmother why she started doing crossword puzzles when I go visit her. I love her house, you can always relax there and go to the beach if you want, since it is only five minutes away walking. My grandmother was an elementary teacher, but way before I was born she retired. I do picture her as a teacher, even though I do not see her that often, I can notice she has a strong personality, I would not want to make her angry. Anyway, with her red-colored hair, her glasses, a pen and her crossword puzzle book, I know I can find her whenever I go visit.
