A memory comes back to haunt me

by the searing touch of skin

i'm self destructive but you'll never see

all the damage that is hidden deep within

and i live for myself,

emotions that i want to hide

and i'm the only one who can't tell why

do you want to help me get away

and escape the coming dawn

will you help me escape today
