Remember those nights when all we’d do is drive?

I would have my dad’s car

Just about run out of gas then put in five?

I’d be dreaming of someone like you

To come take me away to a far away place

But it didn’t happen and I figured no one could take your place



After all it’s life, and it left me numb

Till I meet someone new

I’ll be hurting inside for renewal

For someone to hold

Who I won’t want to let go



I remember those days when I wasn’t too mature

I thought I loved you, but then I got hurt

I guess the biggest mistakes we make

Are the ones where we didn’t learn?

But that’s life and nothing will change the past

Driving till 3am

Then it was off to sleep and work the weekend

I would never have enough sleep

Because you were on my mind through out the week

Excited of what I thought would become

Never happened, man I sure felt dumb
