I just sat there watching in the dark

Wondering what it was like to hold her

Sitting there dreaming

Not knowing of this reality around me

I just sat there wondering what she was thinking

Who ever knew another person could bring this feeling

I wonder if she ever knew

That I was always praying wondering

if this could be true



It’s a prayer I say about you

That causes me to care even more

About who you are

It’s a prayer I say

That causes me to think about you more each day

I just don’t know if this is the right thing to say

Or if it will just scare you away



I love it how you try to embarrass me

But it just doesn’t work

Because the silly rhymes and songs you sing

Is what makes you worth

More than words can even explain

It makes you worth so much more

Than someone would ever think





Every time I see you

I can’t help but smile

Every time I am near you

I feel renewed

My arms just want to reach out to hold you

I just feel confused

Wondering if it’s wrong to feel the way I do
