Lost Love
Through her smile I can see the pain in her eyes
She tries to stand strong through all the lies
She loved him as deep as the cuts in her soul
He pushed her away with every lie that he told
He always promised her that she was the one
And he would straighten up after his bottle was gone
But the day never came until she walked away
He poured out the bottle and begged her to stay
She just cried and said it was too late
Deep down he knew he chose his own fate
He had to many problems to try and stack
He did everything he could to try and win her back
But it was too late she had created life
With another man who took away her strife
He knew it was over and had to let go
It was time to reap what he had sewn
She was his one and only ever true love
Deep down he knew she was sent from above
He just wants her happy and to see her smile
So as a gift a divorce he files
So she can be free in her new world
And live the rest of her story unfurled.
