Love and Hope I walked a long lonely road
shrouded in darkness.
And feeling as though
I was on my way
to absolutely nowhere.
I dragged my feet
along the cobblestone roads
completely barefoot
And grimaced as the skin
sawed its way from my heels
leaving a trail of blood
following in my wake.
The bitter taste of copper
feels my cracked throat
as my entire body screamed for water,
And when i thought i could still carry on
my body collapsed beneath me,
but i still couldn't....
Bring myself to stop.
So with bleeding nails
I dragged myself on,
Hoping to see the light,
at the end of my tunnel
And praying to be covered,
In the end's illumination.......
