Black Moon

Black Moon, you ghost serene on high among nocturnal clouds,

enveloping the folds of night in your ebon shrouds.

Summon hither yet again the landscape of my dreams,

carry me forth to distant shores on your jet black beams.

Ask once more the questions of yore which cause me anguish and doubt.

Was I only born to die, and what's it all about?

What's the purpose of my sojourn on this planet Earth?

When all is said and all is done, what is my short life worth?

Rock me gently in your arms amid the stars so bright.

Let us glide sails open wide on your ship of night.

Show me all the mystery of this world you know so well.

Banish all the looming demons of death and eternal hell.
